This Joshua tree is sculpted out of fibers and bits of packaging, brochures, gift bags, etc.—all marketing materials that get used once and then thrown away. Reuse of these fibers helps their original sources (like a tree) to live on. This recycling warms my heart.

I choice to make a Joshua tree for the obvious reason, but also, because the name of the exhibit is Call of the Wild. What better fits wildness, than this Who is insane tree.
