Shorebirds and their habitats are what I love to create in a colorful whimsical manner. Well, pretty much anything by the sea inspires me. Sometimes combining watercolors or acrylics with bits of textiles creates layers of textures that can pull one into a bigger realm of meaningful art. Recycling “bits” of single-use marketing collateral like bags, boxes, brochures (that originated from tree/plant pulp) feels “right” and warms my soul. Demised bits of nature get a brand new life.
Prior to retirement, I had many computer-related positions that involved creatively teaching adults. My favorite employment, though, was 10 great years of creatively teaching/inspiring 2nd graders to be “visual” and full of wonderment. Watercolor (with occasional mixed media) is my most recent creative endeavor...so pieces are added, as practice spurs quantity. I paint in Malibu, Solana Beach and Morro Bay. So keep checking back.
Pieces are unframed, so frames can be added as you wish. Taxes/shipping not included.
