BEING NEAR THE SEA inspires me. Shorebirds, shells and shores are my favorite subjects.  I use watercolors with pens or pencils  and pastels or acrylics with bits of recycled textiles pushed into the paint. I love to mix it up, and it’s fun to layer things to achieve the desired visual look. Also, if you look closely on many of my pieces, you’ll see thatI love using little pieces of colorful paper or textiles that otherwise were just going to be thrown away. It’s sort of gives them a new life.

I’ve been creative all my life. It’s just been since Covid that I started honing in on painting and practicing every day.  I paint in Malibu and Morro Bay.  Where I live in Malibu, there are many pets, especially dogs. I love to paint them. They are great practice and such wonderfully intricate subjects, with personality.  So, if you have a special pet, I’d be honored to help you.

Sometimes I dabble with “abstract”, and I’ve done a few large pieces. They are under “extra large” in the Gallery. Gardens or bouquets are great as abstracts.

Most pieces are unframed for ease of mailing.  I can suggest a frame or frame it for you at an added cost if you really wish   Taxes/shipping not included in posted art prices.
